Shalom Grace Children’s Home visit

The Leo club New Horizon Host, Bangalore paid a visit to Shalom Grace Children’s Home on the 1st of July ( a unit of Christ the King Human Development Trust ). It is a grace home for boys who hail from darkest sections of society. Most of the boys have single parent or parents who have history of substance
abuse.
The grace home was facing financial difficulties in educational expenses of 27 children studying
in different standards ranging from nursery to seventh standard. We contacted Mr. K.J
Emmanuel, president of the trust, to understand these requirements. Our visit was scheduled on
1 st July, 2017. We had an amazing session with the children where we conducted various
activities like story-telling, dancing and singing. We also had a productive meeting with Mr.
Emmanuel about the background and condition of the grace home inter-alia.
Our club donated Eleven thousand rupees to the grace home. This will help fund one child’s
yearly educational expense.
