ORPHANAGE VISIT’16
On the 2ndof October, Sunday 25 members of the Leo Club went to the Love In Action children’s home. It is a small orphanage located near Banaswadi. It is home to 15 children of all age groups. There were toddlers of only few years of age to students of grade 12.
The members of the club reached the location by 2pm. The children were all smiles on seeing the members. They all played with the members. The members and the children mingled so well, neither one felt like a stranger to the other. The games played were Musical Chairs and Simon Says. The children had a break from their daily routine and had a lot of fun. Some members danced with the children to groovy music.
The children were very energetic and enthusiastic to meet new people. It was an amazing experience for all club members. It was also an opportunity for the club members to get to know more about each other. We then distributed school supplies like books, scales, pens, pencils, school bags and uniform shoes to the children. These items were in accordance to the request made by the managers of the home. In the end the children were asked what yummy food would they want and they all screamed – PIZZA! Pizzas were ordered for all the children.
While leaving the orphanage there was this vibe of positivity that the members will never forget.
