On the crisp morning of November 23, 2023, the NSS Club of New Horizon College of
Engineering (NHCE) organised a significant event in support of Cancer Awareness. The
Cancer Awareness Walkathon aimed to spread awareness about cancer prevention,
treatment, and support for those affected by this disease. The event witnessed an
enthusiastic participation of students, and committee members, marching together to
advocate for this cause.

Commencing at the early hour of 6 o’clock, participants gathered at NHCE, demonstrating
their commitment to advocating for cancer awareness.
Route: The walk spanned from New Horizon College of Engineering to CMR Institute of
Technology, providing a platform for engaging discussions and interactions among
participants.

During the walk, participants engaged in discussions about various causes and effects of
cancer, fostering an environment of learning and awareness.
Nature Enjoyment: The walkathon provided an opportunity for participants to relish the
serene beauty of nature, emphasising the importance of a healthy lifestyle in cancer
prevention.
The Cancer Awareness Walkathon organised by the NSS Club of NHCE transcended its
