NHPS strongly believes that a school is not only an institution forum but also the medium through which a child undergoes holistic development. One of the ways in which excellence in learning is achieved at NHPS Pre Primary is through the implementation of the Montessori and Play-way method.

The Pre-Primary division follows an activity-based curriculum that highlights the practical methodology, thus enhancing the development of sensory perceptions. The focus of this scientific and carefully planned environment is on exploring and experimenting with the child’s mind to be able to adopt self-corrective measures, sequentially leading to discipline.

To make learning easy, fun and interactive, age-old blackboards have given way to tech-savvy Smart class in each classroom. The Reading corner and the Toy corner complete the aesthetic look of an interesting and inviting classroom. Academics coupled with sessions of music, dance, games, P.T. and library keep the tiny tots occupied throughout the day. Events such as Annual day, Sports day, Project day and festivals like Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Raksha Bandhan provide opportunities for the children to explore various facets of their personalities.

Monthly field trips to interesting places like the fire-station, parks, post office, temples etc. ensure that learning is not restricted to the school premises only. Social responsibility when taught young, stays on for life. New Horizon has always been a front runner when it comes to sharing its joy and contributes generously towards improving the lives of others. Having adopted an orphanage-Child Fund Association, we provide provisions on a regular basis. Thus, our children learn a higher lesson in life – to give and share.

With a vision to ‘Cultivate one million Children in India as Neoteric Innovators’, distinguished schools across India have been selected and granted permission to establish the ‘Atal Tinkering Lab’ by the Government of India. In these labs, young children are encouraged to perform research and work with various tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, technology, Engineering and Math). Understanding the importance of technology in today’s fast-paced world, New Horizon Public School is proud to announce the setting up the Atal Tinkering Lab in the school premises. Truly a milestone for us as an institution, as through the ATL, we are sure to produce many successful innovators who will make our school and country proud.

Inculcating values, morals, ethics and developing an understanding of our culture are of primary importance to the children of today who will grow up to be the youth of tomorrow. NHPS has partnered with the National Institute of Value Education (NIVE) run by ISKCON to impart this knowledge through their Value plus program – a value education program conducted for students from Grade I itself. The curriculum consists of a mix of stories on heritage, culture, festivals and moral values along with the learning of shlokas.
