Report on Visit to Orphanage
As part of a community outreach initiative, members from the NSS Club, Rotaract Club, and Leo Club of New Horizon College of Engineering visited Narendra Nele, an orphanage dedicated to the care and upbringing of children on 1st November 2025. The objective of the visit was to bring joy, share experiences, and contribute meaningfully to the lives of the children at the orphanage.

The team departed from the college at 10:00 a.m. via the New Horizon College bus and reached Narendra Nele at 11:00 a.m. after a one-hour journey. They were warmly welcomed by the orphanage staff, who greeted them with great enthusiasm and hospitality. The students organized a series of fun and interactive activities for the children, which created a cheerful and lively atmosphere throughout the day.
Singing and Dancing: The students and children participated in a lively session of songs and dance, spreading joy and laughter.
Ball Passing Game: This fun-filled activity helped the children interact freely and enjoy each other’s company.After the morning session, everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch together. The meal served was well appreciated, and the interaction during lunch fostered warmth and bonding between the students and children.
Mimicry Acts: Students performed entertaining mimicry acts that filled the room with laughter.
Short Performances: Several short skits and performances were presented, keeping the children actively engaged.

Musical Chairs: The game brought out fun and competitiveness among the participants.
Kabaddi: The traditional Indian sport was played with enthusiasm, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was the distribution of 110 school bags, Tshirts, and sweets to the children. The joy on their faces was truly priceless, leaving a lasting impact on everyone present. The staff at Narendra Nele appreciated the initiative and the efforts of the students in organizing such a thoughtful and joyous day. They expressed gratitude for the meaningful engagement that brought happiness to the children.
This visit not only brought smiles to the children’s faces but also instilled a deep sense of compassion and social responsibility among the students. It was a day that beautifully embodied the spirit of service, sharing, and caring – a reminder of the positive change that small acts of kindness can bring to society.
