EVENT-01(ROBOFIESTA).
DESCRPTION OF THE EVENT:
On December, Robohorizon Club of New Horizon College of engineering hosted 3 round quiz event ‘Robofiesta’. To acknowledge and appreciate the knowledge of students about robots and tech as well as their problem solving skills. Over 40 students from various departments took part.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Round 1 : Movie Mania
It was quizz round related to robotic movies consisting 20 questions where each question carried 2 marks. 15
minutes were given to complete the quizz.
ROUND 2:
After round 1, 12 teams with highest score were selected for round 2. The 2nd round was the quizz about robotic
and mechanical equipments. It included 15 questions 8 descriptive and 7 were picture based with a hint.
First 8 questions 1 minute each time was given and for the 7 questions 30 sec each the time was given.
ROUND 3 :
Hardware Hunts
The third round was buzz round, questions were asked to everyone at once the team with quick buzzer response
was allowed to answer the question within 60sec if the question is answered right they will be awarded with
5 marks if the question is answered wrong then there will be deduction of 1mark from the score obtained. Once
the time limit is completed everyone is allowed to answer the question and during this period there will not be any
negative marking and if the answer is correct team will be awarded with 1 mark.
CONCLUSION:
As robofiesta concludes, participants would have gained insights into industry requirements through the aplitude
round. Beyond competition, the event sparks comtemplation on emerging ideas in tech and engineering, inspiring
further learning and exploration among students. Robofiesta serves not just as a competition but as a catalyst for
future endeavours in the dynamic world of Robotics.
