Thayi Mane Children’s Home

What started off as an idea to visit orphanages every other Sunday manifested as the first adventure to Thayi Mane Children’s Home in Sarjapur. A practice session of one hour preceded the event. The committee members reached the venue on time and the venue heads assisted us in setting up the mic system and instruments. The hall was soon occupied by kids in the age range 6 to 18. The performance started with a devotional song, followed by 2 Kannada songs and a Tamil song. Some of the kids also took up the stage space to sing songs of their choice. Then, by the children’s request, an English song was sang followed by a couple of raps. The committee members concluded the event by distributing chocolates to the kids and interacting with them before leaving.
