INK UP & GAME ON

Introduction

The Leo Club hosted the ‘Ink up and Game on’ event held at New Horizon College of Engineering on the 8th of October, 2024. The purpose of our stall was to create awareness and raise funds for NGOs, engage attendees with interactive activities, and promote our club’s objectives. The event provided a great platform to showcase our club and attract new members while bringing an impact to the society.

 Stall Setup

We set up a lively donation collection stall in front of the college library, which attracted a fantastic crowd! Along with collecting donations, we sold creative posters and fun stickers, played engaging games, and even offered beautiful mehendi designs. The vibrant atmosphere brought in many students and faculty, all eager to participate and contribute. We appreciate everyone who supported us, whether through donations, purchases or simply enjoying the activities.

Together, we are making a difference.

Activities and Engagement

To draw attention, we organized various activities such as:

[Activity 1]: A promotion campaign was held that encouraged participation and allowed visitors to learn more about the club; the upcoming event and the strong willed vision behind it.

[Activity 2]: The Mehendi stall was a standout feature of the event, offering intricate designs from ₹50 to ₹90.  It attracted both students and staff, who enjoyed the artistic experience. Beyond just being an activity, the mehendi stall infused the event with a festive, cultural ambience, allowing participants to connect with Indian traditions in a fun and engaging way. The blend of creativity and cultural heritage made this stall a major crowd-puller, contributing to the lively atmosphere and leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved. Being the highlight of our stall, this activity bought us the maximum funds.

[Activity 3]: The ‘Cover the Spot ‘game involved participants being given three disks, which they had to throw from a set distance to completely cover a marked spot. If they succeeded in covering the spot with the disks, they won a prize from which they could choose between a free poster or sticker. This game gave a perfect balance between fun and participations, adding to the joy of the event. Visitors could win and make a contribution to the cause, which added excitement and attracted a lot of attention.

[Activity 4]: The ‘Ping pong’ game was another crowd-pleaser at the event. This game drew in eager participants. In this fetching activity, players were provided with three balls and had six chances to toss them into three cups arranged at a set distance. Each successful toss into a cup created a sense of excitement and competition among players. Those who managed to land a ball in all three cups not only showcased their skill but were rewarded with a free poster and a fun sticker. The game fostered a lively atmosphere, encouraging camaraderie and friendly rivalry among participants, making it a memorable part of the day’s festivities.

These activities created an enthusiastic and festive atmosphere that attracted numerous participants. They not only provided entertainment and cultural enrichment but also significantly contributed to our fundraising efforts. Through the fervent support, we successfully raised funds for our cause, showcasing the power of community involvement in making a difference. In total, we engaged with over a number of attendees throughout the day, sparking conversations on the working of the club and creating a buzz around our activities.
