Rang Utsav – A Celebration of Colours and Compassion

The Leo Club of NHCE enthusiastically participated in “Rang Utsav”, a vibrant Holi celebration organized by the Indian Roots Foundation in collaboration with Oracle Volunteering and Ujwala Sri Foundation. The event aimed to combine the festive spirit of Holi with compassion, gratitude and community service.
Event Preparation
The day began with the Leo members and the volunteers assisting with the decorations to create a lively and welcoming atmosphere at the gaushala. Volunteers worked together to prepare the venue and coordinate the activities for the day.
Gau Puja & Gaushala Visit
A Gau Puja was conducted as a gesture of gratitude towards Gaumatha. Volunteers also took part in a gaushala tour where they helped feed rescued cows and learned the importance of animal welfare and care.
Holi Celebration with the Volunteers & Children
Later in the morning, children from the orphanages joined the celebration. The highlight of the event was the joyful Holi celebration where volunteers and children came together to play with colours, share laughter and create memorable moments of happiness.
Community Service & Bonding
The Leos actively volunteered throughout the event, assisting with decorations, activities and spending meaningful time with the children. The event beautifully reflected the spirit of compassion, cultural celebration and community bonding.
Impact & Takeaway
Rang Utsav was not just a festival celebration but it was a meaningful initiative that brought together service, culture and joy. It created a memorable experience for the children while promoting kindness, gratitude and care for animals.
