Introduction
The Leo Club of NHCE, in association with Devi Eye Hospital, successfully organized EYECON – a Free Eye Check-up Camp on 20th March 2025. With the vision of promoting eye health awareness, this initiative provided free eye check-ups and consultations to students, ensuring early detection and preventive care.
Objectives
- To raise awareness about eye health among students.
- To provide free eye check-ups and consultations by experienced professionals.
- To identify students requiring further medical attention and guide them accordingly.
Event Highlights
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, making it a major success on campus.
✅ 270+ students participated in the free check-up.
✅ 42 students received free consultations from experts.
✅ 1 student was identified for surgical intervention and guided for further treatment.
✅ 24 students were provided with a 50% discount on eye scans and surgery.
Execution
- The camp was set up in the Library – Ground Floor, Amar Jawan Block, with proper vision test stations and consultation booths.
- A team of experienced ophthalmologists from Devi Eye Hospital conducted the check-ups.
- The Leo Club team efficiently managed the event, ensuring smooth coordination and assisting students throughout the process.
- Students received guidance on eye care, preventive measures, and follow-up recommendations.
Impact & Feedback
The camp was highly appreciated by students, who found it beneficial and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to have their eye health assessed for free. The Leo Club team did a fantastic job, making the event seamless and impactful.
This success has inspired us to organize more health-focused initiatives, reinforcing our commitment to community service.
