Nexus

Introduction: On January 6th, 2025, the STEM Club held an exciting event called Nexus to celebrate Mathematics Day in a way that was all about fun! Instead of focusing on tough math problems, the event was designed to be entertaining and energetic. Students came together to enjoy a day of games, laughter, and teamwork.

Event Overview :

The event had three fun-filled rounds, each with a unique activity:

  1. Housie/Bingo: The first round started with a game of Housie (or Bingo), where participants marked numbers on their cards as they were called out. Everyone was eager to see if they’d win, and the room was filled with cheers and laughter. It was a great way to break the ice and get everyone excited.
  2. 10-Second Riddles: In the second round, players had to solve quick riddles within 10 seconds. These brain-teasers were simple yet fun, allowing everyone to think fast and stay sharp. The countdown timer made it even more thrilling, and participants enjoyed the challenge.
  3. DMs (Dance & Math): The last round was the most creative. It combined dancing with solving math problems! Participants danced to lively music while answering easy math questions. This round was all about having fun and showing off both dance moves and quick math skills. The crowd cheered loudly, making it the highlight of the day.

Participant Experience Nexus was created to be fun for everyone, even those who don’t love math. The activities were lighthearted and engaging, so everyone felt included. Students worked together and supported each other, which made the event even more special. Smiles and laughter were everywhere!
