Maya Balaji, a student of I B, has made her poetic debut in an internationally published book titled and themed Meraki – meaning, to do something with love and passion by pouring one’s heart and soul into it.
This book brings together 35 poets across the globe by an artist collective called Paper Paints & Poetry and notably, Maya stands out as the youngest contributor to this prestigious publication.
This achievement adds to her previous success of authoring and co-illustrating a children’s storybook in collaboration with her mother, titled “Bunny and Mummy.” It’s a moment of immense pride for Maya, her parents, and the entire school community.
Maya’s journey as a poet has just begun, promising a future, bright with artistic expression and meaningful contributions to the world of literature.
