To direct and control the institution’s research and development function and commission research projects to ensure that the institution is at the forefront of industry developments and continually improves products and services.


Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Proven skills in managing research and development teams working across disciplines and research topics.
  • Ability to develop new and innovative research collaborations as demonstrated by both programme development and fund raising.
  • Proven skills to develop research strategies and planning with an aim to undertake foresight analysis in research and development.

Job description:
  • To be responsible to the Dean for promoting and coordinating research and knowledge transfer activity within the Faculty.
  • To establish and maintain recognition of the Faculty as centre of excellence in research and knowledge transfer.
  • To promote and represent the Faculty at the Institution level as required.

Job Description: The prime role of the Head of an Academic Department is to provide strong academic leadership.
