In collaboration with students from New Horizon College of Engineering, we conducted a comprehensive survey to understand the interest and intends. The survey was carried out over three days: 10th, 11th, and 13th July 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The main objectives were to identify the hobbies, extracurricular interests, and aspirations of girls aged 11-15 in government schools. To gauge the awareness and understanding of climate change among the respondents, to determine the respondents&#8217; willingness to engage in climate-positive actions and their ideas for mitigating climate change and to identify the primary issues and challenges faced by girls in government schools, with a focus on education, health, and personal development.<\/p>\n<p>The survey was conducted through structured questionnaires. The students of New Horizon College of Engineering visited various government schools and interacted with the girls in a safe and supportive environment. A total of 56 students participated, each providing unique perspectives through a comprehensive questionnaire. The survey aimed to understand various aspects of their knowledge on the agronomy and the climate change. The questionnaire focused on their interest in and knowledge of climate change, as well as their ideas on how they could contribute to mitigating its effects. The students displayed varying levels of awareness and understanding of climate change. The questionnaire revealed a diverse range of opinions and interests among the students, reflecting their individuality and varied backgrounds. Many students demonstrated a solid understanding of environmental issues, with some expressing a particular interest. The survey underscored the students&#8217; awareness and eagerness to contribute to environmental sustainability, highlighting the importance of nurturing these interests through educational programs and community involvement.<\/p>\n<p>The surveys conducted over three days at various schools in Karnataka provided comprehensive insights into the students&#8217; educational experiences, environmental awareness, and willingness to contribute to societal and environmental betterment.
