\nspecial focus on disadvantaged groups by Sustainable and inclusive
\ngrowth, with adequate opportunity for every person to lead a useful
\nand productive life to his or her full potential\u201d. \u201cVillage Adoption
\nmeans to work along with the community at the grass root level,
\nwhile enabling \/ empowering them for pursuing the goal of
\ndevelopment of the village in line with the Sustainable Development
\nGoals and learning as to what works and what doesn\u2019t and evolve a
\nmodel of village development for replication and trainings\u201d.
\nIntroduction<\/strong>
\nThe Village Adoption survey provides students an opportunity to
\nunderstand the factors that are responsible for under-development
\nin a village, despite plethora of programmes \/ schemes in vogue.
\nObjectives of NSS CLUB
\n\uf0b7 To inspire the rural communities to dream, plan, mobilize
\nforces and resources for sustainable development of each
\nmember who can realize his\/her full potential and create such
\necosystem for positive behavioral transformation.
\n\uf0b7 To seek positive transformation and to engender progressive
\nchanges in the communities through alternative development
\nmodels that is participatory, sustainable and inclusive.
\n\uf0b7 To empower marginalized and vulnerable groups in the village
\nparticularly the elderly, the women, the youth and the children
\nof the community.
\n\uf0b7 Availability and accessibility of basic amenities and services
\nand achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
\n\uf0b7 To generate awareness on gender issues and social issues like
\nliteracy, health & hygiene, sanitation, safe drinking water,
\nlivelihood options etc.
\nSurvey of CHEEMASANDRA Village
\nAreas of Survey done are as follows<\/strong>
\n1. Primary Education
\n2. Community Health
\n3. Hygiene
\n4. Drinking Water
\n5. Solar Facility
\n6. Environmental and Other Issues
\nAs observed by the team visited the Cheemasandra village is not an
\nunder developed village as noted.
\nThe primary area where the development has to happen is in the
\narea of Primary Education.
\nThe Govt School of Cheemasandra Operates for Nursery to 5th Std,
\nthe school has a strength of 150 students.
\nThe Requirements of the school are as follows:-

\nI. Toilets to be repaired.
\nII. Artistic Painting for classroom walls.
\nIII. Repair of the school gate.
\nIV. Proper fencing for the Transformer installed near the school.
\nV. The drainage system near the school gate is left open, that
\narea must be covered with the cement blocks.
\nVI. Need of adequate supply of stationary for the children.
\nVII. Educational toys for nursery children who are admitted under
\n\u201cKALI NALI\u201d scheme.
\nVIII. Painting of School
\nThese are the major requirements of the GOVT Primary School
\nThe Requirements of the Village
\nI. Replacement of Old RCC electric poles.
\nII. High Mask Light.
\nIII. Water Filters must be installed (required no of filters are 3).
\nIV. Street lights (required no = 50).
\nV. Solar lights (20).
\nVI. The Drainage System must be closed using cement blocks.
