OBJECTIVE:
To promote environmental awareness and community engagement, the Green Warriors Club organized a Swachhata Abhiyan, focusing on cleaning Hessaraghatta Lake while fostering a sense of responsibility towards ecological preservation among participants.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The Swachhata Abhiyan at Hessaraghatta Lake witnessed the active involvement of 53 volunteers, primarily students from our college. Equipped with gloves, trash bags, and cleaning tools, participants divided into teams to tackle litter and pollution around the lake. The event kicked off at 7:30 AM, with teams assigned specific areas for cleanup. By noon, a significant amount of non-biodegradable waste, including plastic bottles and wrappers, was collected, resulting in a visibly cleaner environment.
The initiative not only enhanced the lake’s surroundings but also served as an educational experience, emphasizing the importance of environmental stewardship and community involvement. Local residents expressed gratitude for the volunteers’ efforts, contributing to a sense of accomplishment among participants. Additionally, students earned valuable activity points from the college, highlighting the importance of balancing academic responsibilities with social initiatives.
CONCLUSION:
The Swachhata Abhiyan was a resounding success, making a noticeable impact on the cleanliness of Hessaraghatta Lake and reinforcing the Green Warriors Club’s commitment to environmental advocacy. The event showcased the power of collective action and community spirit, with participants demonstrating teamwork and enthusiasm.
