The fashion show at Sargam’24 was a grand spectacle, with our team proudly presenting the chosen theme, Mahabharatha. This timeless epic provided the perfect canvas for an innovative blend of mythology and modern fashion, captivating the audience with its depth and creativity.
The runway was transformed into a vivid tapestry of ancient India, with models showcasing ensembles inspired by legendary characters like Draupadi, Krishna, Arjuna, and Bheema. Each design told a story, using intricate embroidery, luxurious fabrics, and bold accessories to capture the essence of the characters and their narratives.
Accompanied by dramatic lighting and a powerful soundtrack, the show immersed spectators in the epic’s grandeur. The judges praised the authenticity, creativity, and attention to detail in every presentation. Our team’s dedication to honoring tradition while embracing contemporary design made the event a standout success and a cherished memory of Sargam’24.
FRESH FACE INDIA 2024

Times Fresh Face is an annual college-level event that gives collegians, across the country, a chance to express themselves, showcase their talent and wow the judges with their Fresh Factor, on one of India’s largest, most unique platforms. Over the years, Times Fresh Face has served as a launchpad for a number of contestants to carve their path to glory and make it big.
Times Fresh Face visited our college on the 13th of February 2024 to provide an excellent platform to our students to take their talents to the next level. The students showcased their talents in various sectors such as dancing, singing and ramp walk. The best among them were selected for the next round and were rewarded with amazing gifts from the sponsors. Overall, it was a very special experience for all the participants and organizers.
ELEMENT 7, 2024
Date: 6th April,2024
Participating in the element 7 celebration organized by the Krupanidhi group of institutions on April 6, 2024, was the fashion squad of nhce. Aqua life was the topic we decided on. The girls donned costumes depicting various mythological sea goddesses, while the boys dressed as the protectors of the ocean. The fashion show itself was a spectacle of creativity and innovation. Against a backdrop reminiscent of an underwater paradise, models glided down the runway adorned in ethereal ensembles that evoked the mystique of the ocean. The team won 3rd place by creatively interpreting the theme.
KALANJALI’24

Our fashion team who went by the theme “Lumina” took part in “Kalanjali’23” ,a college fest conducted by Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology on 16th December 2023. We went for a glassy look where the base for our outfit was black and we stuck pieces of mirror making multiple stunning outfits on our own. Everyone was confident and carried themselves very well . The crowd cheered and was very encouraging . The energy at the event was top notch. Overall , it was an amazing experience for multiple first timers and the team worked really hard to put up an amazing show.
ACHARYA HABBA’23

On 19th May 2023 the team took part in Acharya Institute of Techonlogy college fest, the events theme was carnival. We represented our selves with retro outfit.The boys and girls were dressed as 90s Bollywood stars. The boys looked very much like 90s actors with their bell bottom pants and girls wore 90s party wear with head gears that was very much outstanding from the other crowd.This was a really good experience for few of us who participated in fashion walk in an inter college cultural fest for the first time.

Fiesta Buena takes you on a truly unique experience of a very extravagant party, where the celebration of festive culture and fashion is known as Fiestas. There’s numerous chances to fraternize and have a nostalgic experience with personages. The Fashion Team of NHCE took part in the college fest conducted by PES University on 14th April 2023. The theme we opted for this fest was ‘Fiesta Buena’. The boys dressed up in colourful carnival outfits and the girls dressed up in fancy outfits with different burst of colours. The style is rocked by adding serene and fierce stylishness with unmatched grace. The team portrayed the theme with different props.
HAUTE COUTURE’23

Lost treasures have captivated the human imagination for centuries representing a thrilling combination of wealth, mystery and adventure.
The team took part in the IIM college fest on 26th February,2023.The event’s theme was “Lost Treasure,” with the girls representing the wealth and the boys playing the roles of treasure hunters looking for the long-lost loot.
This theme was inspired from the movie “Indiana Jones” where the protagonist who is a renowned archaeologist and adventurer embarks on a journey to find ancient artifacts.
The girls represented the treasure in their shiny golden dresses and the boys looked like perfect adventurers in their cowboy hats and big boots.

The buzz around college was that a fashion walk competition was about to begin.The theme for the walk was “Monochrome” where competitors had to showcase their fashion sense,style and persona by dressing themselves up in similar colour tones.It was quite challenging but the participants managed to come up with unique and wonderful ideas that surprised the crowd.The atmosphere was filled excitement and confidence.Though it lacked a little bit of professionalism,they were no less than any designer.It was a delightful show for the audience as well as the crowd.
Sargam: Next Top Model

New Horizon College of Engineering conducted SARGAM – The biggest cultural college fest on 25th and 26th November.
The Next Top model was a 1 star event conducted by the Fashion club in which designers got the opportunity to showcase their extraordinary designs along with their models who reflected the hard work put in by the designers with their fanatic walk.
Our judges Ms.Deepa Rachel Emmanuel and Ms.Harshita Mahadev who were our very own students of NHCE and NHC had a tough time deciding the winning duo as there were 72 participants who were equally fabulous in their own unique attire.
There was also an open stage event where anyone could come in and walk , displaying their elegance.Overall the event was a mega success leaving the audience enthralled and awestruck.
STYLE ICON OF THE YEAR

The style icon of the year event was held for the first time in our college. The event was a blast with over 85 participants showcasing their fashion in their own unique ways.The event comprised of 2 rounds,the first being a ramp walk and the second being the questionnaire round.The judges had a hard time selecting the best out of best.
10 participants were shortlisted for the second round out of which 8 were chosen to take part in the mega auditions.

It was time for diwali celebrations, which was celebrated with a lot of vigour and glamour.NHCE fashion team enjoyed dressing up in their finest Indian traditional attire for this occasion since it honours Indian culture in all its splendour .
The team stood out in royal red and milky white ethnic fit which had the bests of silk sarees , picture perfect lehengas , shararas and other form of wardrobe extravagance .
The audience went crazy for the eye catching performance.
REVELATIONS’22

New Horizon College of Engineering conducted Revelations~A cultural extravaganza on the 11th of June. Fashion Show was one of the events that took place and many teams from different colleges in Bangalore came to take part in the competition.
The home team went with the theme “Ethnic” and displayed their beautiful outfits.
The winner’s of the competition were BMS College of Engineering and they were rewarded with a cash prize of Rs.50,000
Presidency College bagged the second place with a cash prize of Rs.25,000
Overall it was a successful event with huge participation.
SAMSKRUTHI 2022

The fashion team took part in the fest “Samskruthi” conducted by East Point Group of Institutions on 14th May 2022.
The theme we opted for this event was ‘Greek gods’. The boys dressed up as famous Greek gods while the girls dressed up as Greek goddesses.
The team portrayed the theme very creatively with different props and managed to bag the 3rd place.
ANAADYANTA 2022

The fashion team took part in the fest “Anaadyanta ” conducted by Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology on 13th May 2022.
The theme we chose for this event was ‘Greek gods’. The boys dressed up as famous Greek gods while the girls dressed up as Greek goddesses.
The team portrayed the theme in a very artful way using various props.
ELEMENT 7 FEST 2022

The fashion team took part in the fest “Element 7” conducted by Krupanidhi Group of Institutions on 30th April 2022.
The theme we selected for this event was ‘Modern Greek Mythology’.The boys dressed up as famous Greek gods while the girls dressed up as Greek goddesses.
The team portrayed the theme very ingeniously and bagged the 1st place out of 13 teams that competed and won a cash prize of Rs.25000.
Auditions 2022
The fashion team of NHCE conducted its auditions on 12th March 2022. The auditions provided a chance for students to showcase their talent in fashion and to demonstrate their skills.
We had 60 people who registered out of which 10 girls and 7 boys were selected. The registrants went through 3 of selection process.
They were judged based on their expressions, confidence and walk.
Lasya 2022

The fashion team took part in the fest “Lasya”conducted by Jain University-CMS on 17th March,2022.
The theme for the event was Greek Mythology.While the boys dressed up as the famous Greek Heroes, the girls chose characters like Aphrodite ( Goddess of Love),Demeter (Goddess of Agriculture), Amphitrite (Goddess of Ocean ),Selene (Goddess of Moon ), Alectrona (Goddess of Sun ) and designed their costumes accordingly.
The team portrayed the given theme very creatively and managed to bag the Second Place out of six other teams that competed.
NAAC Committee Visit

The Fashion Team of NHCE showcased a ramp walk on 4th January 2022 when the NAAC Committee visited the campus.The theme for the show was “Universe”.The universe is all of space and time,for centuries the mysteries of space have captured our imagination and thus, the team led the audience on an adventure across the universe by dressing up as different elements of space.
The girls represented the Sun,Moon and various planets like Mars,Saturn, Neptune and Uranus.While the boys dressed up as Satellites, Astronaut, Interstellar being and much more.The team worked together and designed the costumes and props for the same.
The event was a big hit and was appreciated by all.
Quadroccia
Date- 9th November 2021
Fashion Club in collaboration with Art Club of NHCE conducted a Halloween themed face painting and ramp walk competition- QUADROCCIA
A competition which introduced the “art and the artist”
It was open to students from all branches of engineering. A team of two had to participate – one is the artist who painted the face of their partner and other is a model who dressed up and got their face painted. The participants were provided with face paints by the clubs and were requested to carry their own brushes, accessories and clothing.
The face painting was held in the first 90 minutes in the umbrella canteen after which the participants got time to dress up and walk the ramp.
The event was made more interesting and exciting when the members of the art club painted the faces of the fashion club members, following which they hit the ramp and gathered a huge audience with their amazing performance.

The winners were felicitated with a sash and a crown by Dr. Anitha S Rai and all the participants were given e- certificates for their enthusiasm and wonderful performance.
The event was a great success and was filled with fun and enthusiasm. Every team was unique and creative .It gave the students a chance to showcase their talents.

The Fashion team namely Team Mystic took part in the fashion show event hosted by NMIT Institute on 8th March,2019.
Though the team did not back any place, it was a good exposure and learning experience for the team and their upcoming events.

The fashion team took part in the fest conducted by presidency university on 23rd February, 2019.
The team competed against 11 other teams and won first place with a cash prize of 30000 rupees.
IIM-B Institute of Management

The Fashion team took part in one of its first national level competitions conducted by Indian Institute of Management Bangalore on 3rd, February,2019.
The team received a special mentions for their creativity and efforts.

Times Fresh face Season 11

Times fresh face was back with season 11 after 10 successful seasons.
The event was hosted by Times group and was organized by the Fashion club and literary club.
This event was an opportunity to the students to showcase their talent and be featured in Bangalore times. Registrations were done on the spot. With more than 40 registrations the event turned out to be a successful one.
The contestants displayed great amount of enthusiasm by showcasing their talent in dance, drama, theatre, vocals,etc
There were two rounds in total. The first round was the talent round in which the contestants had to showcase their unique talents followed by a question and answer round.
Winners of the fresh face were Nikita and divas from Computer Science and BBA department.
Elevani

Elevani stands for idealism . Fashion club hosted an event by the name elevani which was an inter collegiate fashion fest.
This event also included La Model which was an individual competition where contestants had to compete in three stages, the first one included ramp walk, the second stage was a question and answer round, which was followed by a personality round.
The competing colleges for the group fashion show included-

- MVIT
The first place was backed by MVIT and the second place was won by JSS..
Cash price of 20,000 and 10,000 were given to first and second place.
La Model was won by Pratyush from gopalan college of engineering winning a cash price of 3000.

Fashion club hosted an event on ethnic day which included contestants to walk the ramp solo or in pairs.
The event witnessed a massive turnover of contestants competing in this fun event.

PINK DAY

Pink day was dedicated to spread Breast cancer awareness in our college campus. The pink ribbon is the most prominent symbol of breast cancer awareness, and in many countries the month of October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast cancer culture, sometimes called pink ribbon culture, is the cultural outgrowth of breast cancer advocacy, the social movement that supports it, and the larger women’s health movement.
We conducted a few games to increase and enhance the funds. We had 9 rounds of lemon and spoon and we shortlisted 16 participants. The final round was musical chairs. The winner was Zubair from third year. First runner up was Swapnil Konar and second runner up was Bikkina Harshitha from CSE dept.
We gave cash price of ₹400 for first, ₹200 for first runner up and ₹100 for second runner up.
The event was a big hit and the funds raised will be donated for a noble cause.
STYLE ICON OF THE YEAR

Envogue fashion, in search for the best models in Bangalore held a competition – Style Icon Of The Year. Winners were selected on basis of their style, personality and attitude. Phase – I of this competition was held at college level when Envogue took the hunt to some of the top colleges in Bangalore. New Horizon College of Engineering was one of the colleges where Envogue conducted their hunt. A total of 6 participants (3 boys & 3 girls) were selected at college level to compete in the mega auditions which would be held at UB city. This event was covered by news 9 and aired on tv. We wish the winners of campus auditions good luck for the next round of auditions.

Mega auditions
As the competition propagated to the next level, the winners from all the colleges battled out in the Mega auditions where only 32 participants were selected for the grand finale. These 32 participants would be given grooming sessions to sharpen their style quotient for the grand finale. Out of the six winners of campus auditions at NHCE 3 were selected for the grand finale.

BMS fest – Utsav 2017

A team was sent by fashion club to BMS college of engineering to take part in their fashion show event during their fest Utsav 2017.
The theme for this show was Molestation. Although the team did not manage to secure the first two places, it still got a special mention by the judges for having a really good concept.

Ethnic day – 2017
date – 25 mar 2015
Ethnic day was celebrated for all semester on 25 mar 2017. There were a set of events held on this day by multiple clubs in the following order – flash mob , stunt show, unveiling of revelations poster , fashion show competition and a dance performance.
The fashion show organised by the fashion club had an overwhelming response with over 100 participants. At the end of the competition 4 awards were given for the best costumes and 2 special awards were given to a pair of guys who portrayed the love and affection which the hindu and muslim community.
Cambridge fest – Chiguru 2017
Fashion club sent a team to cambridge college to take part in the fashion show event during their fest Chiguru.
The theme for this fashion show was molestation and the aim was to raise awareness about women abuse.
International Women’s Day

Fashion club showcased a ramp walk on women’s day with the theme “occupations”.
The show displayed seven occupations namely teacher, air hostess, dancer, DJ, model, entrepreneur, tennis player. Along with the right costume for each occupation there was also a power point presentation during the show which gave a brief description of two famous women personalities in each of those occupational fields.
