The performance highlighted the essence of womanhood through:<\/p>

Weeks before the event, our dancers began preparing with dedication, discipline, and passion. The club helped gather performers, organize rehearsals, and coordinate choreography across multiple styles \u2014 hip hop, contemporary, Dance of India,\u00a0 and Mega Event.<\/p>

    The dance club also helped maintain the energy of Sargam from start to finish. From classical to hip-hop, freestyle to contemporary, every participant showcased their unique style and left the judges amazed.<\/p>

    The atmosphere was filled with music, motivation, and pure fun<\/strong>, turning the auditions into a celebration rather than just a selection process. Students cheered for one another, practiced together, and shared unforgettable moments on stage and off.<\/p>

    The Dance Club<\/strong> set the stage ablaze during the Sargam Banner Reveal<\/strong> event on 22nd September<\/strong> with a power-packed and emotional performance based on the theme \u201cOperation Sindoor.\u201d<\/strong> The performance was a heartfelt tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces<\/strong>, capturing the essence of patriotism through graceful movements and powerful expressions.<\/p>

    With energetic choreography set to patriotic songs<\/strong>, the dancers portrayed the courage, discipline, and unity of soldiers who dedicate their lives to protecting the nation. Every beat, step, and expression resonated with the spirit of India \u2014 evoking pride and emotion among the audience.<\/p>

This performance is a vibrant and meaningful tribute, aligning with the cultural ethos of the institution and the auspicious occasion of honoring the Chairman\u2019s legacy.<\/p>

    The Dashavatara<\/em> performance vividly portrays the ten avatars of Vishnu\u2014Matsya<\/strong> (fish), Kurma<\/strong> (tortoise), Varaha<\/strong> (boar), Narasimha<\/strong> (half-man, half-lion), Vamana<\/strong> (dwarf), Parashurama<\/strong> (warrior-sage), Rama<\/strong> (prince of Ayodhya), Krishna<\/strong> (divine diplomat), Buddha<\/strong> (enlightened teacher), and Kalki<\/strong> (future warrior)\u2014each symbolizing divine intervention to restore cosmic order and uphold dharma (righteousness).     The Inter-Department Dance Competition (IDDC) Season 2<\/strong> is a flagship event organized by the Dance Club of New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE)<\/strong> on 30th May and was judged by our New Horizon College Choreographer Kiran Pheonix.<\/p>

    IDDC is more than just a dance competition; it\u2019s a celebration of movement, expression, and departmental pride, where students compete not with academics but with choreography. The event brings together teams from different departments, such as Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Information Science and Engineering (ISE), Computer Science, and others, to battle it out on the dance floor. Participants perform a variety of dance styles, including Bollywood, hip-hop, contemporary, semi-classical, and freestyle, showcasing their skills in coordination, formation, and stage presence.<\/p>

    The 1st Place was taken by the ECE team (Team Diode) and the 2nd Place was taken by the First Years(Team Pulze).<\/p>

    IDDC serves as a dynamic platform for NHCE students to express their creativity, build teamwork, and celebrate diversity through dance. It strengthens the college\u2019s vibrant cultural scene and provides opportunities for students to hone their performance skills while fostering inter-departmental camaraderie.     The NHCE Dance team performed for the <\/span>Initium Fest on 16th May<\/strong>, the hip-hop choreography performance<\/strong> lit up the stage with bold moves, slick transitions, and a whole lot of attitude. With a dynamic fusion of urban street styles and Indian beats<\/strong>, the performance was a perfect blend of rhythm, culture, and swag<\/strong>.<\/p>

    The crew took over the stage with sharp footwork, power-packed isolations, and next-level synchronization, bringing pure hip-hop energy to life. Just when the crowd was vibing hard to the bass drops and international beats, the music shifted \u2014 and in came a desi twist<\/strong>. The transition into Indian mass and folk-inspired tracks<\/strong> added surprise and flavor, earning wild cheers from the crowd.<\/p>

    From Tamil kuthu drops<\/strong> to Bollywood beats and Punjabi fire<\/strong>, the dancers mixed desi steps with classic hip-hop grooves \u2014 showing how Indian culture and global dance styles can coexist in perfect harmony<\/strong>.<\/p>

    Ethnic Day Flashmob & IDDC Banner Reveal<\/h1>

    The Ethnic Day Flashmob which was on 10th May<\/strong>\u00a0was a vibrant celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage, brought to life through an electrifying dance performance that echoed across languages, regions, and traditions. With every beat, every costume, and every step, the flashmob united students in a joyful explosion of music and movement.<\/p>

    Dressed in stunning ethnic attire<\/strong> \u2014 from elegant sarees and salwar suits to colorful lehengas, dhotis, lungis, and kurtas \u2014 the performers turned the venue into a living canvas of India\u2019s diversity. The flashmob began as a surprise, catching the audience off-guard with an upbeat Kannada track<\/strong>, followed by a powerful wave of energy with Punjabi dhol beats<\/strong> that had the crowd clapping in rhythm.<\/p>

    Our dance event called IDDC was revealed by our dear principal sir Dr.Manjunath on the very same day. To know what IDDC is .. IDDC<\/strong> \u2014 the Inter-Department Dance Competition<\/strong> \u2014 is one of the most anticipated and electrifying events in the cultural calendar of our engineering college. It\u2019s more than just a dance competition; it\u2019s a showcase of talent, teamwork, creativity, and raw energy<\/strong>, where departments battle it out not with code, but with choreography.<\/p>

Held as part of a larger cultural fest, the event served as an energetic and enchanting opening act, perfectly blending fantasy, movement, and student spirit<\/strong>.<\/p>

    As the music surged and the lights dimmed, students dressed in costumes representing the four houses of Hogwarts\u2014Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin\u2014<\/strong> stormed the stage with wands in hand and fire in their eyes. With cloaks swirling and spells flying, they captivated the audience in a mesmerizing display of synchronized choreography and storytelling.<\/p>

    The flashmob began with mystical background sounds and spell-casting gestures, setting an eerie, magical tone. Then, in true Hogwarts style, the performance broke into massive high-energy dance numbers<\/strong> set to popular songs, blending modern music with fantasy theatrics. The crowd roared as the dancers brought their house pride to life, each group showcasing their own flair and rhythm.<\/p>

          auditorium which started with lighting of the lamp and then followed by an
          energetic invocation dance performed by the NHCE Dance team. We also performed a theme dance as the theme suggests Fiesta Euphorica which was filled with happiness and fun.<\/span><\/p>

          self confidence, will power and wings to fly. The winners of Udaan were awarded

          Kannada Rajyotsava is also known as the Karnataka formation day is celebrated throughout the month on November.\u00a0This month induces pride and joy amongst the people of Karnataka and onsets the season of celebration in the state throughout the month. New Horizon College of
          Engineering organized a day of celebration on 30th November for it’s students. The NHCE dance club increased the vigour of the event and enticed the crowd with their dance performance highlighting the festivities and importance of Kannada Rajyotsava in the state.<\/span><\/p><\/div>

          The 3-day extravaganza, a fest that turns all back,\u00a0Sargam-The Rudra Factor<\/b>\u00a0was organised on 25th and 26th of November 2022.\u00a0 The main highlights of the fest were the dance events. The\u00a0<\/span>NHCE Dance Team performed an energetic flashmob to prepare the crowd for the fest of the year and reveal the theme – “SARGAM:THE RUDRA FACTOR”.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The theme was a very vibrant and powerful one; colleges all over Bangalore took part in the fest, and put up a successful fest.           HipHop is a range of street dance style primarily evolved as part of HipHop. It’s a form of street dance that began as a freestyle dance, that uses body movements to create rhythm while performing hip hop music.           Tandav also known as Tandava Natyam, is a divine dance performed by Hindu god Shiva. Shiva is depicted as dancing the Tandava in his form of Nataraja. The Natya Shastra, a Sanskrit treatise on the performing arts describes various aspects of the Tandava. In this theme based dance, NHCE Dance Team not just brought the 1st Runners Up trophy but also got a standing ovation from our Honorable Chairman Sir and bagged a massive appreciation gift inclusive of a sum of Rs. 2.5 Lacs.<\/p>

          Garba is a form of dance which originates from the state of Gujarat in India to honor the Hindu Deity of Divinity, “GODDESS DURGA”. It is performed during the nine-day Indian festival Navaratri.\u00a0<\/span>The NHCE Dance Team\u00a0<\/span>preformed a beautiful \u201cGarba\u201d dance emphasizing the ritual of dandiya on the\u00a0<\/span>ninth day of Navratri.<\/span><\/p>
