ARTVENTURE QUEST: A Creative Adventure Unfolded

 

On November 15th, 2024, the Art Club hosted Artventure Quest, an exciting blend of creativity and adventure, starting at 2:00 PM across the college campus. This treasure hunt challenged participants to solve riddles and assemble puzzle pieces that led to a grand artistic challenge: recreating a reference picture through painting.

The vibrant event captivated participants, blending problem-solving and artistic flair. Teams scoured the campus, solving clues and racing to complete the puzzle before showcasing their painting skills. From beginners to seasoned artists, everyone brought their creativity to life in this unique experience.

Art Charades

The Art Club organized this event as part of INITIUM’24, involving teams of two participants each. A total of 11 teams registered and attended the event. One teammate was shown a picture for three minutes, then described it to the other teammate, who painted the image based on the description. After an hour, the picture was shown again for three minutes, and the teammate provided further explanation to refine the painting. This activity aimed to enhance communication and memory skills, while fostering creativity.

Colour Pop

 

Event Overview:
The Colour Pop event, a tattoo painting competition, was held as part of the Movie Con Fest, hosted by the Art Club. The event provided a platform for talented artists to showcase their skills in temporary tattoo making, ranging from whimsical doodles to intricate masterpieces. The competition aimed to highlight the boundless possibilities of art and celebrate the creativity of aspiring artists.

Event Execution:

Participants demonstrated immense effort and creativity in their tattoo designs. The judge, Shrinivas, assessed the tattoos based on three criteria: creativity (10 marks), design (10 marks), and finish (10 marks), for a total 30 marks. The dedication and determination of the participants were evident as they explained the concepts behind their tattoos to the judge.

– 1st Place: Nikhitha and Sriram from ISME for their stunning 3D tattoo, which captivated everyone
present.
– 2nd Place: Preeyanka and Shivani from NHCE for their beautiful and colourful tattoo.

Awards and Recognition:
Memento was distributed to the winners, and both winners and runners-up received certifications and cash prizes, presented by Anitha Mam.

 

 

 

 

 

Conclusion:

The Colour Pop event was a resounding success, showcasing the incredible talent and creativity of the participants. The Art Club looks forward to organizing more such events in the future to continue celebrating the art of tattoo painting

Doodle Duel’24: A Rapid fire of Pictionary

On April 2024, the Art club conducted Doodle Duel’24: A Rapid fire of Pictionary at 11AM in the Student club activity centre where the participants had to draw the words on the card which are picked by them and the other teammate had to guess what is was.
The Art Club’s recent event was a resounding success, captivating participants with its vibrant atmosphere and creative energy. The air buzzed with excitement as participants shared their work, exchanging ideas and inspiration. From beginners to seasoned artists, everyone found something to spark their imagination.

MOVIECON

The drama club of NHCE conducted their event ‘Movie-con’ on 22/5/23 in collaboration with the NHCE Art club which decorated the whole campus.

ART club decorated the entire campus and the various hubs where each of these hubs were themed and some of them were clues to the treasure hunt that took place as a part of the event.

INITIUM 2023

INITIUM’23, is a literary & music fest hosted by 5 extra-curricular clubs of NHCE, they are Literary club, Drama Club, Music Club, Art Club, and Media Club. The day commenced at 10:00 am with the Inauguration Ceremony, presided by Dr. Manjunath, Principal of NHCE. The ceremony was held at Auditorium it began with a welcome address and invocation song which was followed by the lighting of the lamp by all the dignitaries present in the auditorium, Dr. Anitha Rai and all the HODs, after which the principal announced INITIUM’23 open.

 

Events were held around multiple locations on  campus, the event locations included Auditorium, Falconry Hall, Quadrangle, MBA seminar Hall, MBA classrooms, VC room, and the Digital Library.

There were a total of 16 events hosted by different clubs, Pop-culture quiz, Multiverse of Madness, Turncoat Debate, Parliamentary Debate, Aircrash, Squid Games, Open Mic, Album Art Making, Solo Instrumental, Group Singing, Beat Box Battle, Push-up contest, Murder Mystery, Improv and Gaming. Overall the fest was a success and the students learned a lot and had fun.

The ART club was responsible for the extensive show of beautiful paintings that covered the campus. Large collages and many more life size cutouts of characters and some unforgettable pop culture references.

HEMU KALANI

The event ‘HEMU KALANI ‘ – hosted by art club was conducted on 11 /11/2022 in the Library.

It was a themed sketching competition . They had one hour to create their artwork and references were permitted throughout the allotted time.

ART ATTACK

The event ‘ART ATTACK ‘ – hosted by art club was conducted on 11 /11/2022 in the auditorium hallway.
The twist was that they were paired in groups of three based on their medium of art, such as doodling, sketching, and so on. They had one hour to create their artwork and another 15-20 minutes to refer to it. They were then required to sketch or paint without any reference.
The themes allowed were Manga, Mythology, Fiction, Poster (Digital) and Doodling.

‘ART CLUB AUDITIONS’

The event ‘ART CLUB AUDITIONS ‘- hosted by art club in look for new talents and

was conducted on 20/03/2022.

The event was based on the concept of bringing the artist in and also to take quick break from all the college work.

The theme of the event was “any form of artwork “. The event was open to all the students and registration was free. In total we got 77 participants, making the event very competitive.

The auditions was successful and we received active participation from the participants.
