On 18 March 2026, the Alumni Club of New Horizon College of Engineering organized a vibrant
\ncelebration of Ugadi, marking the traditional New Year with cultural enthusiasm and student
\nparticipation. The event aimed to bring together students to celebrate heritage, showcase talents,
\nand spread awareness about the significance of the festival.
\nEvent Highlights
\nThe day began with a Rangoli Competition held from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, where students
\nexpressed their creativity through colorful and intricate designs, adding a festive spirit to the
\ncampus.
\nAlumini club with the collaboration with NHCE Dance club, NHCM Dance Club and NHCE Music Club
\nhas bought this event together. The formal program commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp from
\n1:00 PM to 1:10 PM, symbolizing the auspicious beginning of the event. This was followed by a brief
\nsession on the Significance of Ugadi from 1:10 PM to 1:20 PM, highlighting the cultural and spiritual
\nimportance of the festival.
\nA song performance from 1:20 PM to 1:30 PM set a melodious tone for the celebrations. The Dance
\nClub of NHCE performed from 1:30 PM to 1:40 PM, followed by an engaging performance by the
\nMusic Club from 1:40 PM to 1:50 PM. The NHCM Dance Club then presented an energetic
\nperformance from 1:50 PM to 2:00 PM, captivating the audience.
\nPrize Distribution
\nThe Prize Distribution Ceremony was held from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM, where winners of the Rangoli
\nCompetition were recognized and appreciated for their creativity and effort.
\nVote of Thanks
\nThe event concluded with a Vote of Thanks from 2:15 PM to 2:20 PM, expressing gratitude to all
\norganizers, participants, and attendees for contributing to the success of the celebration.
