On 18 March 2026, the Alumni Club of New Horizon College of Engineering organized a vibrant
celebration of Ugadi, marking the traditional New Year with cultural enthusiasm and student
participation. The event aimed to bring together students to celebrate heritage, showcase talents,
and spread awareness about the significance of the festival.
Event Highlights
The day began with a Rangoli Competition held from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, where students
expressed their creativity through colorful and intricate designs, adding a festive spirit to the
campus.
Alumini club with the collaboration with NHCE Dance club, NHCM Dance Club and NHCE Music Club
has bought this event together. The formal program commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp from
1:00 PM to 1:10 PM, symbolizing the auspicious beginning of the event. This was followed by a brief
session on the Significance of Ugadi from 1:10 PM to 1:20 PM, highlighting the cultural and spiritual
importance of the festival.
A song performance from 1:20 PM to 1:30 PM set a melodious tone for the celebrations. The Dance
Club of NHCE performed from 1:30 PM to 1:40 PM, followed by an engaging performance by the
Music Club from 1:40 PM to 1:50 PM. The NHCM Dance Club then presented an energetic
performance from 1:50 PM to 2:00 PM, captivating the audience.
Prize Distribution
The Prize Distribution Ceremony was held from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM, where winners of the Rangoli
Competition were recognized and appreciated for their creativity and effort.
Vote of Thanks
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks from 2:15 PM to 2:20 PM, expressing gratitude to all
organizers, participants, and attendees for contributing to the success of the celebration.
