The Mathrubhasha Diwas<\/strong> 2026 celebration was organized by the STEM Club New Horizon College Of Engineering on 12 March 2026 in the college auditorium. Conducted under the theme \u201cMy Language, My Pride,\u201d the event aimed to celebrate linguistic diversity and promote pride in one\u2019s mother tongue while highlighting India\u2019s rich cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme began at 2:30 PM with the National Song, creating a patriotic and respectful atmosphere among the students and faculty present. This was followed by a graceful Invocation Dance, performed to seek blessings or the success of the event. The traditional Lighting of the Lamp ceremony was then conducted by the faculty coordinators Dr. Manjunatha B, Dr. Anusuya Devi, Ms. Akshitha K, Dr. Bhavya P, Dr. Rajalakshmi and Dr. Poornima G S, symbolizing knowledge, positivity, and enlightenment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An inspiring address by the Principal emphasized the importance of preserving native languages and respecting the linguistic diversity that forms the foundation of India\u2019s cultural identity. Students were encouraged to take pride in their mother tongues and continue promoting cultural values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cultural Programme formed the highlight of the celebration. It included a melodious solo singing performance that captivated the audience, followed by three group dance performances representing classical, folk, and contemporary styles. These performances beautifully showcased India\u2019s diverse traditions and artistic expressions. A fashion walk was also conducted, where students presented traditional attire from different regions of India, symbolizing the connection between language, culture, and heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the organizers, faculty members, and participants. The programme ended with the National Anthem, leaving the audience with a sense of unity and pride in India\u2019s linguistic diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebration of Mathrubhasha Diwas aimed to achieve several important objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
