coding challenge titled \u201cRapid Build: CodeSprint\u201d<\/strong>, aimed at encouraging creativity,
quick thinking, and problem-solving abilities among students.
The event was held on Friday, 5th\u00a0Decemeber 2025<\/strong>. \u00a0
The event required participants to build a functional mini-project within
the given time limit, integrating three random keywords provided at the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where Quick Minds & Sharp Coders Clash for Glory! \ud83d\udc68\u200d\ud83d\udcbb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FOSS Club<\/strong> from the Department of MCA<\/strong> proudly organized TRITECHX <\/strong>on 27th June 2025<\/strong> at the MCA Lab, beginning at 1:00 PM<\/strong>. The event turned out to be a thrilling experience, filled with innovation, logic, and rapid development challenges!applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event had two thrilling rounds: SnippetStorm<\/strong> (coding & debugging) and Prompt & Deploy<\/strong> (AI-powered web solutions). TRITECHX<\/strong> celebrated technical skills, creativity, and real-world AI application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“<\/em>Talend Open App and UI Design for Java App”<\/em> <\/strong>on 30th May 2025 at Tejas Seminar Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Glen<\/strong> introduced Talend, highlighting its capabilities in simplifying data integration. Mr. Hariharan <\/strong>conducted a hands-on session on Java Swing, guiding attendees in building intuitive desktop applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants showcased their Java projects, reflecting strong UI and backend integration skills. The event was organized under the mentorship of Prof. Sathya J.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The events Frames of Freedom<\/strong> and Patriotism Through Art<\/strong> provided students with an enriching platform to express their creativity while learning to use online tools effectively for designing posters and creating reels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through hands-on activities, participants enhanced their technical skills, creativity, and teamwork. A total of 33 students showcased their talent through poster art, while 18 created engaging reels, bringing out the rich heritage and patriotic spirit of the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event not only fostered artistic growth but also deepened students’ understanding of their<\/strong> cultural roots and the power of visual storytelling<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Thirteen teams participated, presenting technical papers on innovative and impactful topics within 10-minute slots. Their projects addressed real-world challenges, offering creative and practical solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project Yukti highlighted the importance of nurturing technical expertise, inspiring students to contribute fresh ideas and innovations to the field.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event encouraged research, innovation, and effective communication, fostering a spirit of creativity and exploration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Code Carnival illuminated the innovation and skill of students in technology and logic. It showcased individual talents while reinforcing the collaborative and competitive spirit within our academic community.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Club organized Code Carnival featuring two intense rounds:<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Brainiacs<\/strong>” was a 30 minutes quiz round, where student answered multiple-choice questions related to technical, logical and programming languages.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final round comprised “Jigsaw<\/strong>“, “Morse Code<\/strong>“, “Cypher Challenge<\/strong>” and a “Programming Logic<\/strong>“, which was to be done simultaneously, testing problem-solving, decoding skills, cryptography, and coding proficiency.<\/p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfa8 The Poster Design<\/strong> competition, themed ‘Indian Cultural Heritage<\/strong>,’ showcased a kaleidoscope of artistic expressions, each poster narrating a unique tale of India’s cultural diversity. Enthusiastic participants wowed us with their imaginative designs and left an indelible mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udcd6 Amidst the excitement, our Fictional Story Writing<\/strong> event transported us to enchanting realms crafted by participants armed with pens and boundless creativity. The FOSS CLUB successfully organized an event on March 12th, 2024<\/strong>, consisting of three rounds: the Mind Marathon<\/strong>, Rush to Master<\/strong>, and QR Hunt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\udde0In the Mind Marathon, participants as a team of two answered 40 MCQ questions on open-source software <\/strong>within 20 minutes, with 8 teams shortlisted based on scores and time management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfc3\u200d\u2642\ufe0f\ud83c\udfc3\u200d\u2640\ufe0fThe Rush to Master round required teams to learn Blender<\/strong>, a 3D modeling software, within an hour, with 3 teams advancing based on performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udd0d\ud83c\udfc6In the final QR Hunt round, participants scanned QR codes to solve riddles<\/strong> and find locations on campus, with winners determined by task efficiency.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

On September 16, 2023<\/strong>, the FOSS Club orchestrated an enlightening expertise talk on the GO programming language, featuring distinguished MCA alumnus Mohammed Yaseen Harun<\/strong>, presently a senior software engineer at Oracle Centre Bangalore. Yaseen, part of the 2016-19 batch, shared insights from his four years of industry experience, unraveling the multifaceted facets of Go Language<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discourse explored Go’s foundations, modeled after C with modern features. Endorsed by Google, Go found application in major tech platforms. Yaseen highlighted key features, applications in various fields, and strengths like simplicity, automatic garbage collection, fast compile time, and strong typing.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trade-offs, including sacrificing some runtime safety for performance, were acknowledged. Yaseen delved into core concepts\u2014control statements, functions, variadic functions, anonymous functions, main and init functions, the defer keyword, methods, arrays, slices, and more. The session concluded by emphasizing Go’s pivotal role in the programming language landscape, seamlessly blending efficiency and contemporary features for a potent and accessible coding platform.<\/p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The department of MCA in association with Foss club<\/strong> and Automatez<\/strong> organized an Expert-talk on DevOps, DSA and Resume crafting.<\/strong> The tech talk session was handled by two industry experts, Mr.<\/strong> Venkatesh N P<\/strong>, a Software Developer at JP Morgan Chases & Co<\/strong> and Mr. Pandu Kumar A N<\/strong>, a Software Engineer at ADTRAN.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first session was handled by Mr. Venkatesh where he gave the students a brief insight in to the World of DevOps and Docker<\/strong>. He also gave us a practical implementation on AWS<\/strong>. The second session was handled by Mr. Pandu Kumar where he gave us a detailed explanation on DSA<\/strong>, he also gave the students an idea on how to build a resume and the key points of a resume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, the session was very informative and hope it will help the students in sculpting their career and help them in getting placed in their dream companies. We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants for their active engagement and enthusiastic participation. Their dedication significantly contributed to the success of the event.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

On 9th<\/sup> July, 2024<\/strong>, FOSS CLUB<\/strong> and GEC CLUB<\/strong> were pleased to conduct an event featuring an outreach program at the Government Higher Primary School, Ibbaluru.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n


In the outreach program \u201cUNLOCKING POTENTIAL<\/strong>\u201d, the students of FOSS club and GEC club interacted with the students of the Government Higher Primary School, Ibbaluru. The students of 3rd to 7th standard were given a brief idea about basics of computer and different software such as Blender and Scratch. The students enjoyed the animations and AR models created by the members of the FOSS club on their Instagram page.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n


The students were also given a brief idea about the nature and renewable sources of energy from the students of the GEC club. The students conducted various games and activities which were aimed to help inculcate learning in the young student minds.<\/p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
