The department of counseling conducted a session on “How to Adapt the New Normal”. The session was conducted in order to provide support for our students and faculties to cope up with this pandemic situation of Covid -19. Various aspects of coping strategies were discussed, how one can face and manage the present lifestyle in a better way. Understanding the present emotions and emotional issues, also positive outlook towards handling situation was initiated.
The main agenda of this session was how can we lead a stress free days during lockdown. Accepting and facing the sudden change in our lives along with some creative ways in which one can handle social isolation was also a part of the session. Canalizing this time for building family relationships, understanding self better, learning something new, giving productive outputs and so on were also spoken on. Self affirmation was a major area which was been emphasized on, “its ok to feel not ok” was delivered to the participants.
