The Faculty
members of New Horizon Public School is headed
by the Principal, Mrs. Radhika Lobo. Under her able guidance,
the highly qualified, trained, motivated and experienced
teachers bring out the best in every child.
While
encouraging teachers to upgrade their skills and knowledge
by pursuing higher avenues of training where new and innovative
methodologies can be learnt, training programmes and workshops
are also organised on a regular basis. The school also
recognises the need to provide the students with support
to overcome their problems. For this purpose, student counselling
services and a fully equipped resource room are made available to those students who need
them. |

| Special
Care for our Students |
New
Horizon Public School has taken teaching to a higher level
by assisting students who have various learning disabilities.
Our Learning Disability Consultant, Mrs. Sima Bhushan has been
trained in special learning disabilities at the Hornsby Institute
in London, U.K.
Once the disability is assessed by her, she has a team of remediation
teachers who help such students overcome their disability by
developing their other strengths.
Parents are grateful for this when they see their once timid
child bloom into a confident individual. |

| Parent
- Teacher Meetings |
For
the holistic development of the child, we organise periodic
parent teacher meetings. These meetings facilitate a positive
dialogue between teachers and parents, and extend the learning
process and environment beyond school. It is compulsory for
all parents to participate actively in these meetings & contribute
to the development of their children. |

| Advisory
Board |
A
team of eminent educationists, experienced teachers and related
professionals form the Advisory Board to the New Horizon
Educational Institution. The Board meets at periodic intervals
and offers constructive guidance and suggestions for the
qualitative improvement of the school in all areas. |

Values Plus |
In this day and age of increasing competition, peer pressure and many strong influences including the print media, internet and television, our children are subjected to a lot of information, views and opinions that are at times variegated in nature.
They tend to influence the child's psyche and character to a considerable degree. We see this influence in our homes and classrooms regularly, in the demeanor of our children and how they interact in society.
There is a need to reinforce the value system of our children on a sustained basis. We need to build a value-system that will ensure children transform into responsible, mature, well - informed and well-rounded citizens of tomorrow.
This led to the Values Plus classes conducted by ISKCON (International Society For Krishna Conciousness) in our school. Experienced professionals conduct these classes which have been well received by the students and parents alike.
We have witnessed a tremendous change in the value system of our students which has led to a more positive outlook.
