Sports at the NHCE are played with much fervour and passion. There is emphasis on regular exercise and physical fitness. All games are supervised by professional coaches.

Team spirit and the desire to give the best possible performance are our watchwords. With in a short span of time NHCE has seen tremendous improvement in the technique, fitness level as well as performance of our students in the sports arena.
 
Sports Facilities
The Campus has a huge play ground to play, Cricket, Football, Hockey,Vollyball and Basketball. An Indoor Stadium with state of the art facility has Basket Ball court, vollyball court and Badminton court.The Campus also has Outdoor Basket Ball Court, Well equipped Gymnasium. "Nirvana"-the students recreation centre offers all kind of indoor games.
 
 
 
Achievements
• NHCE boys volleyball team own the “Runners up” trophy in the “State level volleyball tournament” held on 7th to 9th October 2009 at Garden City College, Bangalore.
• NHCE boys’ football team own the “Runners up” trophy in the “Inter Collegiate Football Tournament 2009” conducted by Rotary Bangalore and KSFA held from 8th to 20th November 2009.
• NHCE boys’ football team own the “Runners up” trophy in the “State level tournament” conducted by Acharya Institute of Technology.
• NHCE boys football team own the “Runners up” trophy in the International Sports Fest
• “INFINI 2009” held at PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore held on 12th to 14th October 2009.
• NHCE student Mr. Rahul Mohan of 1st semester own the Bronze Medal in the foil team event at XVII National Junior Fencing Championship held at Hosur (Tamilnadu) on 5th to 8th November 2009.
• NHCE Vollyball Boys team won the VTU Championship Trophy for the year 2006, 2007 and 2008.
• NHCE Basket ball Girls team won the VTU Championship Trophy for the year 2007 and 2008.
• NHCE student Mr. Nagaraj S of Computer Engineering Branch is the 'GOLD MEDAL' winner in 'VTU Body Building Competition' in 2008.
• NHCE Student Ms. Divya of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Branch won the Bronze Medal in the 'Diving Event' in the 'All India Level Inter University Swimming Championship' held in Mumbai in 2008.
• NHCE basket ball girls team won the winners trophy in the prestigious 'M S Ramaiah Inter Collegiate basketball tournament' in the year 2008.
